Every time someone asks me to make something for the potluck or party, the Grape Jelly Meatballs are always my go-to. Turns out Odell Beckham, Jr of the Giants loves them too, but his recipe is a little different. I've seen this made many ways, but the main ingredient is grape jelly. Get out your crock pot, play around with it, and make it your own for the Big Game...or the next potluck!
My Recipe:
2 bags of frozen meatballs
1 large jar of grape jelly
2 bottles of chili sauce
1/4 c of worchestershire sauce
1/4 c of sriracha sauce
Set crock pot on LOW.
Mix all ingredients except the meatballs in your warming crock pot.
Add the meatballs, and stir gently to cover with sauce. Cover crock pot and cook for 4-5 hours on LOW.
Serve with toothpicks, or with Hawaiian Rolls as sandwiches! (You can cook these on HIGH if you're in a hurry, but stir them now and then.)
Odell And His Mama, Heather's Recipe:
2lb frozen meatballs
18 oz BBQ sauce
2 1/2 c Welch's Concord Grape Jelly
Add grape jelly and BBQ sauce to a slow cooker; stir to blend well.
Stir in meatballs to coat. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring halfway during the cook time, until meatballs are thoroughly heated and sauce is simmering.
