Miley Cyrus’ music video for her new single, “Younger Now,” has gotten nearly 10 million views since it was posted on YouTube on Thursday. The 4-minute clip shows Cyrus alternately playing a guitar while wearing Elvis Presley-style stage costumes and clad in a frilly, pink dress as she rides a parade float through a small town, then enjoys a fair and tears up the floor at a ‘50s dance party with an age-diverse crowd.
“Feels like I just woke up. Like all this time, I’ve been asleep. Even though it’s not who I am, I’m not afraid of who I used to be. No one stays the same,” she sings.
Cyrus pays homage to Presley in the clip, rockin’ out in a studded blue Nudie suit while being surrounded by tiny mimes. She took to Instagram to post a photoshopped image of her next to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in similar-looking outfits, writing, ‘Twins! We miss you Elvis!’ She's even got the pompadour to match.
The single the title track to her upcoming album, which will also feature the hit single “Malibu.” Younger Now is the follow-up to Cyrus’ independent album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, which was released in August 2015. Younger Now will be released on September 29th
