MIssion2Alpha California Challenge w Operation ShockWave to aid veterans!

It is estimated that around 17 veterans commit suicide every day. Tempe local Andrew Jones, a Marine veteran who participated in the initial Shock & Awe campaign as an anti-tank assault man, returned home with extreme PTSD. The trauma from his experiences in Iraq led to alcoholism. addiction, homelessness and severe suicidal behavior.

Today, Andrew leads an organization of others like him who have overcome their suffering and travel to communities to help recovering vets do the same. This year, Andrew is participating in the Mission2Alpha California Challenge, a bike ride from Arizona to the coast that raises money to honor those heroes who have given all in protecting the safety of families all across the country.

Mission2Alpha will hit the road on May 1st, so I talked with with Andrew, and Mission2Alpha Chairman John Greenway for our Valley Views program that airs on 6 Phoenix iHeartMedia radio stations.
