As soon as I heard about this film I knew I would be seeing it .. my wife Wendy has been known
to her family as Pooh since childhood .. and loves it. And once I saw the trailer I knew that this
was one children's movie that I would NOT be sleeping through! We saw the film today, and we both
loved it. It is so beautifully done, so perfectly cast ... from the leads all the way down through the
period London characters. Ewan McGregor is his usual brilliant self, his wife and daughter are
delightful also, but what really amazes is the quality of the animation. The Disney ability to express
emotion with minute changes in the face of a teddy bear may bring a tear or two, while at the same
time Tigger will have you laughing and Brad Garrett's Eeyore is as humorously sad as can be.
Be sure to take the kids if you have them, but you don't need to .. adults can enjoy this re-imagining
of the classic Pooh story all by themselves.
