Arizona Theatre Company is currently presenting an updated version of the Diary of
Anne Frank, running through June at the Herberger Theatre in downtown Phoenix.
The play is directed by longtime ATC Artistic Director David Ira Goldstein, finishing up
the last season of shows he selected for production before he retired as Artistic Director
a year ago. I spoke with David and actress Naama Potok, a distinguished actor with an
impressive list of credits, who plays Anne's mother in the production. I found the
conversation especially interesting as we reflect on the importance of presenting this
production in an era of Holocaust-deniers, and in a time when new pages of Anne's
diary have recently been discovered. I hope you'll enjoy it also.
