Judging by the excitement that surrounds every new Starbucks creation it’s safe to say lots of Americans are obsessed with coffee. But not everyone gets their caffeine fix from Starbucks, with a lot of people preferring local chains to huge franchises.
- Well, September 29th is National Coffee Day and in honor of the occasion, WalletHub set out to determine which are the best cities for all those coffee lovers.
- The site looked at 100 of the biggest cities in the U.S. and judging them on 12 different factors
- Those factors include coffee shops, coffee houses and cafés per capita as well as the average price per pack of coffee, share of households owning coffee makers and more.
- Topping the list this year is Portland, Oregon, which scores a 64.29, followed by San Francisco, which scores a 63.40.
