- A statue of Abraham Lincoln has turned the internet on fire
- A writer posted a picture of the statue and commented on the looks
- That post caused a bunch of suggestive presidential puns from others
It doesn't take much to set the internet on fire these days. Especially when people get to comment on posts regarding presidents.
WriterZach Stentzshared a picture of a sultry statue ofAbraham Lincolnthat stands at the Los Angeles Federal Courthouse and described it as a “shirtless young stud suggestively tugging at his waistband like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.”
This caused a bunch of people to launch into their own suggestive presidential puns. “Let’s get you emancipated out of those shorts,” tweeted New York Magazine writer Jesse Singal.
The sculpture, which is called “Young Lincoln,” has been erected in the halls of the courthouse since it was unveiled in 1941. It was built by a local art student named James Lee Hansen.
