#1 Perfect Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:1 cup butter, room temperature3/4 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup light brown sugar1 egg, plus 1 yolk1 tablespoon vanilla1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon cream of tartar1/2 teaspoon kosher salt1 teaspoon ground cinnamon2 3/4 cup flour

CINNAMON SUGAR MIXTURE1/4 cup granulated sugar1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

InstructionsPreheat oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with a parchment paper and set aside.In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment mix the butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Add in the egg, the yolk, vanilla, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and cinnamon and mix for 1 minute, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.Turn mixer to low and add in flour, mixing until just combined.In a separate small bowl make your Cinnamon Sugar by mixing together cinnamon and sugar, stirring until evenly combined.Using a medium (2- tablespoon) cookie scoop portion out the dough and roll into a ball. Then roll each cookie dough ball into the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.

INGREDIENTS1 cup butter, softened1 1/2cups sugarteaspoon baking sodateaspoon cream of tartar1/4 teaspoon salteggsteaspoon vanillacups all-purpose flour1/4 cup sugarteaspoons ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONSIn a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add 1-1/2 cups sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour. Cover and chill dough about 1 hour or until easy to handle.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1-1/4-inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until bottoms are light brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack; cool.Signature Fluffy Texture

M&M'S Christmas Cookie Bars

Ingredients2 sticks of butter at room temperature1 cup of granulated sugar1 cup of firmly packed golden brown sugar3 large eggs1 1/2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract3 cups of all-purpose flour3/4 teaspoon of baking soda3/4 teaspoon of salt1 1/2 cups of Christmas M&M's plus more for topping1 cup of mini chocolate chips plus more for topping1/2 cup of white chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Line a 9x13 baking dish with foil or parchment paper, leave some overhang to make removal easier.Spray foil with nonstick cooking spray.In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy.Add in eggs and vanilla extract and continue to beat.Lower speed of mixer and add flour, baking soda and salt and mix until combined.Add M&M's and mini chocolate chips and give a final stir, reserving some M&M's, mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips for topping cookie bars.Transfer cookie dough to prepared baking dish.Press additional M&M'S, mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips into top of cookie dough.Bake 35 to 40 minutes on oven rack in lower third of oven to prevent over browning.Let cool completely and cut.
