  • 24/7 Wall Street has just revealed the cities where the most people are migrating to and from
  • They looked at population figures between 2010 and 2017 from the U.S. U.S. Census Bureau’s Population Estimates Program
  • The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas area has seen the largest number of people moving in, while Chicago-Naperville-Elgin, Illinois-Indiana-Wisconsin is the area most people are moving from

While some people may live in the same state - or even town - their entire lives, plenty of people will pick up and move at some point. In fact, 40-million Americans (or about 14% of the U.S. population) will move at least once - and it turns out there are some cities that a lot of folks are moving to, and others that they’re moving away from.

The website 24/7 Wall Street looked at population figures between 2010 and 2017 from the U.S. U.S. Census Bureau’s Population Estimates Program to determine the cities that the most people are migrating to and from, and it may explain why your area has been getting a little crowded, or empty, in the last few years.

The report finds that the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas area seems to be attracting the most new residents, with a population increase of 555,586 between 2010 and 2017, which represents a 15% increase over that time period.
