The Instant Pot cooker is hot, hot, hot! Jan D'Atri joined Beth & Friends Monday morning to showBeth how to make spaghetti and ribs in a hurry! (This is the smaller one, it's the larger 8-in-1 Instant Pot
that was recalled!)
Watch the fun on the video and check out the recipes below ...
Instant Pot BBQ Pork Ribs (Servings: 8)
1 rack (about 2 lb.) Baby Back pork ribs
1 cup apple juice
Salt and Pepper
BBQ Sauce of your choice.
Pour apple juice and water into Instant Pot. Place ribs on the Instant Pot round rack
fitting standing upright in the bones. (Ribs will curve around the inside of the pot)
Set timer to 18 minutes on high pressure. 2 minutes before ribs are done, heat BBQ Sauce in a small saucepan. When Ribs are done, place on a platter or cutting board and slather the warm sauce over the hot ribs. Eat immediately.
Instant Pot Spaghetti (Serves 6)
1 lb. ground beef, or 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 teaspoon each salt, garlic powder, onion Powder, Italian seasonings
1 lb. spaghetti noodles (1 package)
1 (24 oz) jar Spaghetti Sauce (Rao's Tomato Basil preferred)
24 oz. water (fill pasta sauce jar)
Set the Instant Pot to sauté' and add the ground beef (or beef and pork) Add the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasonings. Cook the meat and seasonings, breaking the meat up until it's completely browned. Turn the Instant Pot off. Drain any excess grease from meat if necessary.
Break the spaghetti in half and place on top of meat in the Instant Pot. Pour over the spaghetti sauce and and water. Push the spaghetti down with a spoon if necessary to make sure it is completely covered in liquid.
Seal the instant pot and set it to 8 minutes cooking time on high pressure.
When the time is up, use manual quick release to open the Instant Pot. Stir the spaghetti well. Serve immediately.
