Carrie Underwood Shares Photos Of Son Jacob Celebrating His First Birthday

It's officially been one year since Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher welcomed their son Jacob into the world. Underwood turned to social media to share several photos of the one-year-old's birthday celebration where he seemed to be enjoying some birthday cake.

"Happy birthday, Jacob! How are you already 1 year old? You are smiley, crazy, smart, soooo fast and into everything! And, apparently, you love cake!" Underwood writes along with the photos. "I can’t wait to see your personality continue to shine! I have a good feeling you’re going to keep us all on our toes for years to come! I thank God for you each and every day. You are truly our miracle baby!!! Mommy loves you! Swipe to see how cute the cake was before Jake got ahold of it! 😂"

Jacob joins his big brother Isaiah, who's approaching five-years-old. Previously, Underwood spoke on how great of a big brother Isaiah has become.

“Being almost 5 years old, he’s just so helpful, and looks out for his little brother,” the country star shared with People. “And he’s good at [obliging] when you ask him to do something; he’s a very task-oriented child. So if you ask him to do something, he wants to feel helpful and he wants to do it and be a part of things.”

Throughout the last year, Underwood has opened up about the struggle and frustration she's had in regards to her post-baby body. The "Drinking Alone" singer admitted that getting back in shape after having her second child wasn't as easy as she had hoped it would be.

"After having my first kid [Isaiah, 4], I felt like I bounced back fast. And then with Jake, it was like my body took a minute to get back to me," Underwood said. "It was frustrating, because I'm like, 'Why wasn't it like the first time?'"

While nutritional intake and physical activity were an important part of the process, Underwood ultimately realized she had to change her thought process when it came to seeing results.

"But I’m four years older. That also helped me shift my mindset," Underwood added. "I’m still working hard, wanting to be the best me possible, but cutting myself slack and just thinking, ‘Be kind to yourself.’ It’s amazing what we [women] do to ourselves. We’re probably all our toughest critics.”
