Chad Michael Murray Surprises Three-Time Cancer Survivor In Sweet Video

Chad Michael Murray's latest act of kindness might bring tears to your eyes.

The One Tree Hill alum made a special appearance on Tuesday's episode (January 8) of Bailee Madison and Kaitlin Vilasuso's Just Between Us podcast show to surprise three-time cancer survivor, Alexandra Wilson, who found refuge in the series while undergoing treatments.

According to E! News, the 18-year-old describes her cancer fight began when she was diagnosed with stage-four neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in several areas of the body.

Miraculously, Wilson survived "two major tumors in my stomach" but became diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma — a cancer which grows in or around the bones — two years after. "For a 7-year-old to be diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma was super rare," she said of the experience, which caused her to have her clavicle removed.

After entering remission once more at age 8, Wilson lived cancer-free for a number of years before she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma again at 17. "I went through another whole year of chemo and radiation, and here I am. I'm in remission," she said.

As Wilson weeps a few tears, Murray comforts her with a hug before sharing a personal story of how being in the hospital at 15 inspired him to become an actor.

"When I was 15, I was in the hospital—nothing, I mean, even comparable," he revealed. "I was there for about three months, and I became an actor because I wanted to create entertainment to keep people's minds off it–to keep it in great places. And that's what's so beautiful."

"I would sit in bed, and I remember how lonely I was. And I'd just turn on the TV, and I'd just forget about everything that was going on for so long," he continued. "I said, 'That's what I want to do. I want to be an actor someday so that I can give that to somebody else as a gift.' So, you just brought everything full-circle to know that you were sitting there, and watching something that we put our heart and soul into. Thank you so much. That warms my heart, beyond – you have no idea."
