Beachgoer Helps Sand Shark Out Of Shallow Water

A brave beachgoer is being credited for using his bare hands to pull a sand shark out of shallow water at the Jersey Shore.

It's tough to believe, so it's a good thing there's a video making the rounds of Sunday's rescue in Beach Haven. You can see the man grabbing the three-foot shark and swimming with it into deeper water where he got an assist from a lifeguard riding a personal watercraft. People on the beach were riveted watering the rescue and relieved to be able to wade back into the ocean.

Sand sharks are not known to be aggressive to humans.
