WATCH: Madonna's Short Film On Gender Equality

Madonna wouldn't let International Women's day pass without making the day in some way. In case you missed it, the singer released a 12-minute black and white short film about gender equality, which she dedicated "to all women that fight for freedom."

The film, directed for "Vogue Germany" by fashion photography duo Luigi & Iango, features a variety of vignettes with the pop star in charge of the revolution, training accomplices, playing with cards, sprouting wings and looking out over New York city while wearing a severed noose around her neck.

It also features a portion of the singer's Women's Match address. "To accept this new age of tyranny where not just women are in danger, but all marginalized people," Madonna said. "Where being uniquely different might truly be considered a crime. The revolution starts here."
