5 Hours of Guilt-Free Indulgin: Gilbert’s Sweets Festival Promises Cookies, Candy & Cakes for a Cause
It is a Candy Land Come to Life on February 15
GILBERT, Ariz. – There’s no high like a sugar high, and kids and adults alike can get in on the action when Sweets Fest, a full-scale celebration of sugar, spice and everything nice, make its much-anticipated return to Gilbert.
Slated for 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at Civic Center Park (50 E Civic Center Drive, Gilbert, AZ), the region’s annual ode to sweets, treats and delectable desserts is a true feast for all senses, where guests will find cookies, cakes, pies, donuts and candy around every corner. Sip sweets-inspired cocktails and create candy-coated arts and crafts at interactive exhibits across the grounds, or burn a few calories at the Kids’ Zone or Shake Shack, where there’ll be live music, dancing and entertainment, before taking another loop around the candy-land come to life.
Competitive types can try their hand at a pie-eating or donut-eating contest, while all guests can take some sweet snaps of their experiences, thanks to eye-catching photo backdrops and installations distributed across the grounds.
Want to learn to decorate a cookie or a cake? Fun classes for all ages will take place throughout the day. For the cherry on top, a portion of all proceeds will benefit Foster Arizona, which helps support local children and families as they navigate the foster or adoption process.
Few special events cater to both kids and adults quite like this one, so stop by, fill up and support a great cause when Sweets Fest hits Gilbert this February.
