Cora Pinot Grigio comes from our winery partner in Abruzzo. They use 100% estate grown fruit for our Pinot Grigio, including some older vines planted in pergola abruzzese. In Italy, they are certified sustainable for their farming practices-- no herbicides; no irrigation; yes to limiting copper use, soil compaction, and CO2 emissions. All electricity use at the winery comes from 100% solar and wind power. Cora is also a vegan wine, as no animal-derived products are used in wine making.
The grapes are gently pressed then fermented for two weeks at cool temperatures (15°- 16° C) in stainless steel tanks, where the wine is aged for a few months. The wine is bottled in screw-cap bottles in order to maintain its fresh, bright flavors. Clean and crisp, with hints of citrus and floral notes, Cora Pinot Grigio is an excellent quaffer yet pairs well with a range of dishes, including grilled fish, caprese salad, and light pastas.
Cora is also a vegan wine, as no animal-derived products are used in wine making.
