Around Arizona: The Island in Tucson

"Be a curator of your life. Slowly cut things out until you’re left only with what you love, with what’s necessary, with what makes you happy." - Leo Babauta

What makes me happy? Simple places filled with love and magic. Places where nature and art and spirit intertwine. Where I can hear my thoughts and find wonder in the stars and stillness of the night.

Because all that’s really necessary is me, my pup - and a gratitude to have experienced it together. ✨

And that's what we did in this little refurbished trailer in the middle of 11 acres of Tucson desert on the edge of Saguaro National Park. A place dubbed the island - as it truly does feel you are are in pure blissful solitude as you listen to the coyotes sing and watch the roadrunners and jack rabbits go about their daily habits as if you weren't even there.

Check out this magical place HERE.

PS - the outdoor shower is a MUST experience!
