Denise has spent her life doing kind deeds for others. She bakes in her downtown cafe (Spoonz) and often brings samples to others to show appreciation and love. She devoted many years to 4H club to help children work with their pets. Most recently, she was highlighted in the Arizona Business Journal in a special report about homelessness. A homeless man she befriended over several years had been panhandling near her cafe. He often helped Denise move the Cafe business sign to the and was known to help others as well. When the dishwasher position became vacant at the Cafe, Denise offered the man the job. He accepted and works there still.
