According to a survey, middle-aged Gen Xers spend more time on social media than Millennials. The survey found that 35- to 49-year-olds spend at least seven hours a week on social media, while those 18-34 spend about six hours a week scrolling through their feeds. Not a huge difference – but it kinda kills the stereotype that Millennials spend all their time on social media. Also, according to the survey, women spend more time on social media than men. Women spend 25% of their time on social media and men spend about 19% of their time looking at posts.
