According to government statistics, people with a graduate degree spend an average of $992 a year on alcohol -- compared to only $102 for those with less than a high school degree. There’s even a big difference between high school grads, who spend $276 on booze each year -- and college grads, who spend $760. When digging through the stats, researchers found that those with higher education levels drink both more and better quality booze than those with less education.
