Young Alex is autistic. He loves pirates! And he loves the lady who has guided him through 5th grade, school EMT Patti Kuluris. So May 9 Patti received the Excellence in Education award, and the school got a custom made pirate bookshelf from KEZ and Alex's family! Thanks to Taylor Morrison and the Arizona State Fair for their support, to Lowe's for pitching in, and to Curtis Huntzinger who designed and built the custom pirate bookshelf, complete with buried treasure!
