The 14th annual Global Peace Index was just released, revealing that global peacefulness has fallen overall. This is mainly due to a rise in civil unrest, which has doubled since 2011.
Iceland was named the most peaceful country, an honor it’s held since 2008, while Afghanistan is once again the least peaceful
As for the United States, it lands at 121, out of 163 countries on the list
