It's best not to show up to court driving a piece of evidence. Police discovered a stolen car and two people inside, 20-year-old Alfonso Rodriguez and 19-year-old John Benavidez, told authorities they were on their way to court.
Rodriguez had to go pick up his ankle monitor as part of his parole for an unrelated kidnapping case. Authorities say it was Rodriguez who stole the car at gun point, but Benavidez is no stranger to the law. It's unclear what exactly the men are now being charged with.
